Hunter Set For Sale

Hello! I am pleased to announce that I have finished my tack set! Here is a picture:

This is definitely my best set so far! I added more padding to the saddle seat and knee rolls. I re-did the girth and it came out wonderful! The bridle is skived so it sits better on the horse and the saddle pad is so much more neater! If you want to take a look at my set on easy click here.

Ps: I'm thinking of making christmas themed tack, ( So stay on the lookout!)

Field of Dolls Online Photo Show

As you might know Anne from Field of Dolls Studio is hosting an online live show. I read that she needed donations so I sat down and started to make halters.

I don't think that I will enter, only because I know that I probably won't win and even for the experience online just is not the same as in person. If only there was a youth show *sigh*.

Oh and by the way look at my new tack set. It will be going up for sale on Etsy within the next week so keep on the lookout! I laced the reins and that took a while, but I think that they came out awesome!

Saddle in Progress

I am working on making  a new saddle pattern. My old one was just so bulky, and I wanted to fix that. I think that it was the saddle tree that I had to change. Today I made the saddle flaps with knee rolls. This time I tried to just stick knee rolls directly onto the saddle flaps. This surprisingly worked really well.

Here is one of my halter packaged and ready to be sold!

Look at what my guinea pigs did yesterday! I gave them a box of hay, but they decided to eat the box and pee on the hay. Now they want new hay and I have to clean it all up.

Shop Restock

Hello! Tomorrow I will probably restock my shop with my new halters! I just wanted to let you guys know what I will be selling before hand. First I have multi colored paracord halters.  Now that I bought in scale hooks the lead rope and snap looks much better.

The other halter, is basically exactly the same except it has no paracording.

I now have leather halters! I thought that these would be harder to make, but is much MUCH easier! Leather sticks together really well and fast. Just make sure to skive the ends to reduce bulk. So if you are considering leather halters just make it, it is so easy.

So overall I think that my halters have really improved over the months of quarantine! School is starting up again, so thats a bummer. But since it is online I can still have time to make tack, just maybe not as much. So stay tuned!

Tiny Horse Treats

Yesterday I made tiny horse treats! I made peppermint bites, peppermint cookies, oat bars, and salt licks. I had so much fun in my library making them on fourth of July. ( I hate the sound of fireworks.) After baking the mini treats in the oven I moved onto the bags.

These are the mini treats still on the pan.

The swirly ones are peppermint bites, the grey ones are the peppermint cookies, and the brown are the oat bars. To make the brown and grey cookies look more real I mixed some crushed oats into the clay!

Here is the mini bag of peppermint bites. I included a picture of Hamilton.

This is the peppermint cookies bag, it has a picture of Bristol on it.

This is the oat bars box that I am going to cut out. To get the templates I just searched up paper box templates then I made it smaller.

I had so much fun making these tiny treats! It really gave me something to do. These will eventually be up for sale in my new Etsy shop so stay tuned!

Dressage Saddle, Bridle Set

Just now I officially posted my dressage set on Model Horse Sales Page. I never tried this website before but if seemed better than Ebay. It is so fun to scroll through and look at all of the different listings! This was my first dressage saddle, and I think that it came out beautiful. The pattern that I made really worked although I had to modify it a little bit along the way.

If you are interested in buying it, click here.

This is the saddle pad. I sewed each of the rows on my sewing machine! The border was tough but after lots of practice I got better!

This is the bridle. This time I made a padded noseband following the tack tip by Braymere Custom Saddlery. I think that it came out really cool!

And this is the whole set. I hope that you like it. I am so proud of my work and I am sad to part with it but I can't wait to make more tack!

A Tour of My Collection

Now that I have a brand new shelf, I thought that I should give you a tour of my herd.

Traditionals:
I like to collect traditional, since they are the biggest scale (other than the springtime filly mold.)

Tack For Sale

I just turned 13 on May 4th! I am officially a teenager. Because of the pandemic I didn't have a birthday party.😥

I have just finished this new all purpose english saddle. I was just waiting for leather lace to come so that I could make the girth. I also added in a bridle to make is a english riding set. It's going to go on sale soon so look out for a link in my next posts!

My dog Benji became my saddle model. He wouldn't sit still so I just ended up placing it on his head.

This is all of the tack pieces!

I also made two halters in blue and pink, this will be up for sale as well. They both have halter slots with adjustable buckles. The lead ropes are made out of twisted string and ribbon, completed with a lobster clasp.
